Most of our activities are involved in community service that has a positive impact on children and youthWe mix this with social and networking opportunities. 

Scholarship Program
Danbury Kiwanis provides scholarships to the Greater Danbury area    graduating seniors to honor their academic and community service activities during their high school careers. Weighted consideration is given to Key Club members for their participation in Kiwanis  Key Club activities.  We have granted  between $6,000 and $9,000.00 in scholarships annually.

Halloween on the Green(since 1992)

Held on the Danbury Green in conjunction with City Center Danbury and JCI, this is a day of fun with Halloween activities and a costume parade.  Frequently, Kiwanis gives away children’s reading books to participants as part of our Reading is Fundamental Program.

Bicycle Safety

Kiwanis Bike Rodeo is scheduled in the Spring..  For many years we have donated bike helmets to Danbury Youth Services and attendees of the Rodeo.

Bringing Up Grades (BUG)

The Kiwanis Bring Up Grades “BUG” program encourages students to strive to set goals to improve and maintain good grades.  Kiwanis members have worked with fifth graders at South Street School in Danbury since 2009

Flags of Valor – New Milford. Honoring our Active Duty Military and our Veterans.   Providing living history for the  community to learn of their service and sacrifices.

Kiwanis Toy Drive with Santa delivery to Seifert and Ford Clinic, Salvation Army and youth agencies.
